As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for providing excellence customer service and expertise while organizing all aspects of their travel arrangements including but not limited to airfare, car rental, hotels, tours, cruises and more. Providing travellers the best options for their needs is key and keeping your travellers organized and up to date is part of the role as well as making sure they are all aware of ongoing travel requirements. As we do sell ALL travel products and this role is not for a particular specialty; knowledge of cruises, tours, all-inclusives, resorts, trains and more are an asset. About us We are a locally owned and operated independent travel agency in the heart of downtown Barrie. We offer all travel services but specialize in custom itineraries, honeymoons and bucket list adventures while providing exceptional customer service. We strive in provided memorable experiences for our clients from start to finish and pride ourselves in our results. Who You Are:
  • 2-3 years customer service and sales experience in a similar environment
  • Minimum 2 years travel advisor experience
  • Prior Travel Agency experience is required
  • Has a completed TICO certificate
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Available to work flexible store operation hours
  • Knowledge of GDS is an asset (Sabre preferred)
  • Self motivated and the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision
  • You\'ve travelled to a minimum of 3 countries outside of Canada
  • Has an understanding of existing reservation platforms including Sirev
This role has two options for renumeration.
Commission only. Or a Salary / Commission split
Total earnings will be based on sales results. Minimum earning start at $45,000.00 ranging towards $75,000+. There is no earning cap. *** This is an in-store position only. Remote applicants will not be considered at this time. We are located in Downtown Barrie and are open Monday to Saturday. You will be required to work some Saturdays throughout each month.
