Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all work is completed expertly and meets quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts to run workflow efficiently.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest workplace safety and environmental requirements and implement all health and safety policies on the shop floor.
  • Maintain and service equipment as needed or according to dealership and manufacturer standards.
  • Interview drop-off drivers and document vehicle complaints.
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Craft job orders, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures.
  • Test-drive vehicle once service is complete to ensure that they run smoothly.
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to Warranty Clerk.
  • Look out for training and factory technical bulletins as they become available.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.

Qualifications
  • Class 1, 3 license an asset
  • 3-5 years mechanic or heavy truck experience (Red Seal preferred but not required)
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, math, and writing skills
  • Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment
  • Management or customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
