Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Estimator to lead and manage comprehensive project cost estimations for large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, ensuring accurate and competitive bids. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills to support the company's growth and project success.

Duties

Develop detailed and accurate construction cost estimates using industry-standard tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam or other software. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for pricing and scope of work. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of costs, materials, labor, and equipment. Lead negotiations with clients and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms while maintaining project profitability. Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities. Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, ensuring timely submission of bids aligned with project deadlines. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing. Support project management teams during project execution by providing accurate cost data and assisting in change order evaluations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of the entire project lifecycle. Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam or other estimating software is highly desirable. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Excellent project management abilities to handle multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies. Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Ability to analyze complex data sets and produce precise cost estimates that align with project budgets.
