Immediately hiring a full time Experienced Pipelayer to join our crew! Our projects are throughout Vancouver and the sea to sky corridor. We do municipal, commercial/institutional civil and earthworks.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in all types of utility construction and installations; sanitary, storm, water, communications, and hydro.

Responsibilities

Install pipe for water main, storm & sanitary, HDPE, Hydro, Telecoms, etc. Grade trenches and culverts, positions pipe, seals joints Use instruments including lasers, grade rods and transit levels Other labour duties as assigned Being responsible for the efficient installation of all types and sizes of pipes Working with the Foreperson and other team members to ensure that pipe is aligned and installed in accordance with project specification Safely assembling and installing shoring cages Working around live utility systems Loading and unloading building materials and equipment as needed Cleaning and maintaining sites to eliminate possible hazards and keep worksites clean and orderly Attending and being an active participant in all mandatory safety meetings Following instructions and operating as a productive member of a high functioning team Working independently, as well as part of a team Being punctual and having excellent attendance The knowledge to Interpret drawings, MMCD and supplementary specifications, The ability to Install manholes, catch basins, lawn basins, and other pre-cast structures, the ability to install Hydro, Tel & Shaw duct, Coordinating with the Grademan, Equipment Operator, and Topman.

What you'll bring

Minimum 5 years of proven civil pipe layer experience Proficiency in reading civil drawings Complete understanding and compliance of safety procedures, especially around demolition, heavy machinery and working with the public Drivers license Proof of Certifications and/or tickets that apply: First Aid, Confined Spaces, Fall Protection, Construction Safety Training, Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive, etc. Heavy equipment operation experience an asset Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
