Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. The Painter will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on diverse projects while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation are essential to ensure client satisfaction and successful project completion.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and attention to detail Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects Perform restoration work on damaged surfaces, including carpentry and rigging as needed Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete painting tasks efficiently Manage project timelines effectively through strong time management skills Assist with the setup and teardown of scaffolding or rigging equipment for elevated or hard-to-reach areas Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations Communicate clearly with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking materials, and rigging equipment Strong carpentry skills beneficial for surface preparation and minor repairs Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service Good time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently Knowledge of safety protocols related to working at heights and handling hazardous materials Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Prior experience with schematics reading is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates with relevant construction backgrounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour
