If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet you!Job Skills / RequirementsWe are currently accepting applications for part-time and casual/on-call Experienced EVENT Security Officers to join our growing event team in Victoria. If you are hired, you must be available to work on Saturday, August 31, 2024 : 3-11:30pm.Shifts are typically in the evenings and on weekends, and would pair well with a full time job to offer some supplemental income.$22+WHAT YOU WILL DOOur Event Team at event based facilities conduct regular patrols, provide impeccable customer service, and respond to incidents and emergencies as required. Events are a dynamic and fast paced work environment where things are constantly changing, and there are always interesting challenges to solve.Security Patrol: Conduct thorough security patrols of designated areas to identify and mitigate potential risks; Monitor for unauthorized access and respond to security incidents promptlyCrowd Management: Implement effective crowd control strategies, Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services when necessaryAccess Control: Verify credentials and tickets to ensure only authorized individuals gain access to restricted areas; Enforce access policies and respond to any breaches accordinglyEmergency Response: Execute emergency response procedures, including evacuations and first aid, as required. Collaborate with emergency services and coordinate efforts during critical situationsConflict Resolution: Utilize excellent communication and de-escalation skills to handle conflicts and diffuse tense situations; Act decisively to prevent and manage disruptive behaviorSurveillance: Report any suspicious activities and conduct thorough investigations when necessaryCollaboration with Event Organizers: Work closely with event organizers, venue management, and other security personnel to ensure a cohesive security plan; Provide input on security strategies based on experience and industry best practicesYOU\'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, with an exceptional smile.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Valid Security Licence
  • Management of Aggressive Behavior or AST is an asset
  • Are eligible to work in Canada.
  • Are in need of supplemental income.
