We are seeking experienced framers to join our team in Collingwood and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures using various framing techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, carpentry, and construction principles, with an emphasis on safety and precision. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites, utilizing both hand tools and power tools to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities



Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements. Construct and install wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using wood, concrete forms, siding, and other materials. Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble framing materials. Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as needed for foundation or structural support. Assist with welding and woodworking tasks to ensure structural integrity. Use hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, levels, and measuring devices to complete framing projects accurately. Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards. Engage in restoration work when required, ensuring structures meet quality standards. Lift heavy materials safely and efficiently throughout the construction process. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.

Qualifications



Proven experience in framing, carpentry, or related construction fields. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of concrete forming, concrete finishing, siding installation, and restoration techniques is preferred. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors or project managers. Prior experience with woodworking and working with heavy equipment is required. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
