Job Summary
We are seeking an Experienced DSC Alarm Installer who is passionate about security technology and eager to deliver exceptional service. In this role, you will lead the installation and troubleshooting of sophisticated alarm systems, including low-voltage wiring, sensors, CCTV, and access control devices. Your expertise will ensure our clients receive reliable security solutions while you enjoy opportunities for growth within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and test DSC alarm systems along with associated components such as sensors, fire alarms, CCTV cameras, and access control devices.
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure precise system setup.
Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and repair existing security systems efficiently.
Manage cabling, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment necessary for seamless installations.
Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide expert recommendations on system design and upgrades.
Maintain detailed documentation of all installation activities, system configurations, and service reports.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes (including NEC standards), low voltage wiring practices, and safety protocols during all job phases.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a security system installer or service technician with a focus on DSC alarm systems.
Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience related to low-voltage wiring and cabling.
Familiarity with computer networking, remote access software, surveillance systems (CCTV), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), sensors, and telecommunication fundamentals.
Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately for system design and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, locksmithing skills, and NEC electrical standards is highly desirable.
Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, and construction techniques necessary for secure installations.
