Responsibilities and Duties

MAIN DUTIES: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AS A DRILLER'S HELPER

Help the driller load and unload the rig in the morning/afternoon for that day's job. Be able to easily lift 50 lbs Follow direction well of the driller and work long hours for the day. Float a rig to site and back, if you have a DZ. If not, G license is a must. Also responsible for helping maintain a clean and well-organized repair shop, re-stocking drilling inventory, coordinating with the Shop Manager and Office Manager to ensure required materials for daily operations are kept in sufficient supply. Communicate with shop mechanics current state of materials that appear in disrepair and requiring service.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

This is a hands-on job, requiring an individual with a working knowledge of tools. Equipment and materials related to this company are heavy and will require the use of proper lifting technique.

A valid G license IS A MUST, & clean abstract

General computer knowledge an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Perform physical labor in all sorts of weather, wearing protective equipment. Lift and handle heavy equipment associated with the job. Some noise and vibration may require the use of ear plugs and other related safety devices. The number of working hours depends on the completion times, minimum 40 hours per week. The hours may be irregular because of job requirements. Safety training will be provided.
