Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Assist in planning menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences, incorporating nutritional considerations
Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
Support kitchen operations by managing food prep stations, organizing ingredients, and ensuring timely meal service
Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service during busy periods and special events
Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance and waste management
Contribute to training new staff or dietary aides on proper cooking techniques, safety standards, and food handling practices
Skills
Extensive culinary experience with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques
Proven ability in menu planning, including accommodating dietary restrictions and special requests
Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods essential for high-quality meal production
Experience working in fine dining environments or catering settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
Background in dietary department work or dietary aide experience is a plus
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
