Experienced Class 5 Delivery Driver



Full - Time Permanent



Terminal Location: Winnipeg, MB


Start time: 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM


Working days: Monday to Friday


Possibility of work on Weekends and or Holidays

The Delivery Delivery Driver will operate either a 3-ton Truck or Sprinter, loading and unloading cargo working in the truck's cab while driving, and outside when needed to load or unload. They generally work without direct supervision and are paid bi-weekly, taking into account the number of stops and the weight of the load. The number of hours the Swing Driver may drive in a given period is subject to regulation. The route is never fixed by will vary as need arises.

What you will do:



Drive a Sprinter, 5 or 3-ton commercial truck to deliver, pick up freights, and perform overflow volume to assigned stops*
Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time

(25-30 deliveries/day and 2-3 pickups)*
Use a handheld device to scan documents and freight Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or pallet truck

Lift and or carry freight (hand bomb) up to 80lbs.*
Provide excellent customer service and build strong client relationships Plan trip route and obtain the required documentation to transport goods Follow hours of service regulations and complete your daily log (ELD or paper, if necessary) Follow company cargo and securement policy and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods Complete and submit all ATS required documentation at the end of the shift including but not limited to bills, customs paperwork, load-specific paperwork, temperature-related paperwork, quality paperwork, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections and hours of service Assist in loading and unloading of cargo. May be required to use a pallet jack, pump truck, or other equipment. Communicate with the dispatcher, other Technicians, and customers Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of the truck is cleaned up and that cargo areas are properly washed and sanitized based on ATS internal procedures Train other drivers when required. May transport hazardous products/dangerous goods. Additional duties as required

What we require of you:



High School Diploma Valid 5 Driver's License is a must*
Possess a Clean Commercial and a Personal Driver's Abstract Courier or LTL experience is an asset

Minimum 2 years COMMERCIAL TRUCK DELIVERY DRIVING experience*

This shift will be Monday to Friday from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM*

Lift and carry freight up to 80lbs. (Hand bomb work)*

Load in proper sequence of delivery with the use of a dolley and or a pallet truck*
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong written and oral communication abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision; must be required to be in the predetermined locations set by the operations team with all procedures followed. Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service Adaptable to change Experience working independently and with minimal supervision Ability to work on a team and being a team player Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices Must follow ALCOA+ principles when filling out documents required by the health care industry (attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, accurate, complete, consistent, enduring, and available).
