Job Description

We're Hiring: Experienced Bookkeeper



We are looking for a bookkeeper who can hit the ground running and manage bookkeeping files independently from start to finish either in Xero or QuickBooks. While we will provide training on our specific office processes and workflows, the ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to perform all core bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciling accounts, managing payables and receivables, and generating accurate financial reports, with minimal supervision. This role requires someone who is confident, detail-oriented, and capable of handling files efficiently while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines. Please note this position requires the successful candidate to work from our office in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Essential Qualifications:



Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, financial transactions, and account reconciliation Proficiency with bookkeeping software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online, Quickbooks Desktop, HubDoc, Sage, or similar platforms) Experience managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping Ability to prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office software Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment Stay knowledgeable about emerging trends and developments related to business, analytical tools, and techniques to deliver quality results within tight timeframes Act with the highest levels of integrity while always observing regulatory guidelines, fulfilling your due diligence, and handling confidential information with discretion
