We are looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist to join our team at our office in Selwyn. This is a 40 hours per week daytime Monday to Friday in-office position with Fridays off in July and August.
. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, accurate and have a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper position for multiple companies:
Record all business transactions, process accruals and adjustments and reconcile accounts
Manage Accounts Receivable, including daily postings, processing credit card transactions, reconciling bank accounts, GL entries/postings and transferring payments as needed
Manage Accounts Payable, including tracking and processing vendor invoices and preparing weekly payments
Calculate and submit HST, WSIB and Source Deductions
Payroll duties
Perform other financial duties as requested
Responsibilities for the Admin Assistant / Receptionist position
Complete administrative duties and reception duties, such as, greeting clients, receiving documents and answering phones
Respond to calls and emails promptly and professionally,
Manage all client files and storage
Answer in-coming phone calls with professionalism and client-focused approach
Communicate clearly and promptly with team, ensure office is tidy and organized
Perform other administrative duties as requested
Qualifications:
Three to five (3-5) years' experience in an accounting environment. Experience with personal and corporate tax preparation.
College diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping and experience with accounting and payroll software is required (i.e.: Sage, Tel pay, QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online)
Strong English communication (verbal and written) and computer skills in various programs including Microsoft 365 and Outlook
Problem solving mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems, software/programs and information
Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy especially under time constraints
Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, ability to work independently and with team members.
No public transit available and some stair climbing.
