Role Description



This is a full-time, hybrid role, for an Experienced Bookkeeper/Senior Associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for our clients, categorizing and matching transactions, reconciling the bank and credit card accounts monthly, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles using QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We are seeking a highly skilled and tech-savvy individual who is

proficient in QBO

and

comfortable working across a variety of platforms and technologies

. The ideal candidate will have a

keen eye for detail

, along with

strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

. Proficiency in

Microsoft Office applications

is required, as the candidate will need to integrate seamlessly into our business and begin handling client tasks immediately.

Key Responsibilities



Record and track day-to-day client transactions using QuickBooks Online Reconcile client transactions, inter-company transactions, bank details, credit card transactions and taxes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis Prepare periodic and annual payroll and HST filings Prepare personal and various tax returns (T1, T2, T3, etc.) Process accounts receivable and payable Manage payroll, on behalf of clients, in a timely manner Own all aspects of the client relationship, including communicating and responding to the clients in a timely manner Ensure deadlines are met and keep workflow software (Monday.com) up to date Collaborate with other team members on larger projects Handle confidential information with integrity

Qualifications



3-5 years of proven bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online Able to commute to the Vaughan office a minimum of three days per week for in-office work College diploma or equivalent; program or degree in accounting or finance preferred Experience preparing T1, T2 and T3 tax returns Experience with Microsoft Office programs Excellent English verbal and written skills Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and within a team Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
Hours: 40 hours a week standard; higher hours in busier times
