Duties

Prepare and decorate cakes and pastries with expert cake decorating techniques to create visually appealing desserts that meet quality standards. Handle food packaging efficiently, ensuring products are securely wrapped and labeled for delivery or retail sale. Assist in food production by preparing ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling baked goods according to recipes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling and preparation. Support kitchen operations by performing food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients with precision knife skills. Contribute to catering events or restaurant service by preparing specialty items and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations when needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Demonstrated proficiency in food preparation techniques including cooking, baking, and food industry best practices. Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and ingredient prep. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in catering or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Culinary experience that includes food industry familiarity, kitchen experience, or pastry expertise preferred.
