Position Overview:

As an Appliance Installer at Varrock Home Services, you'll be responsible for the professional installation of household appliances, including dishwashers, washers, dryers, wall ovens, cooktops, and more. In addition to appliance installation, you will be tasked with mounting televisions and assembling ready-to-assemble furniture. The role also includes delivering or hauling away old appliances, when necessary. We're looking for someone who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

Appliance Installation:

Install various home appliances, including dishwashers, washers, dryers, cooktops, and wall ovens, ensuring proper setup and functionality.

Television Mounting & Furniture Assembly:

Install and mount televisions, as well as assemble ready-to-assemble furniture, following manufacturer instructions.

Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service by traveling to customers' homes, delivering products, and performing professional, high-quality installations.

Product Knowledge:

Educate customers on other company products and services, including service plans, warranties, and maintenance options for their newly installed appliances.

Delivery & Disposal:

May involve the delivery and removal of old appliances or televisions.

Collaboration:

Work closely with team members to ensure scheduled timelines are met and installations are completed efficiently.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all installations meet safety standards and company policies.

Education & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Class 5 license & reliable vehicle Must be able to lift 50lb Must be at least 18 yrs old Previous experience in appliance installation, handyman work, trades, and television mounting is highly preferred. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. First Aid certification or willingness to obtain mandatory

Skills & Knowledge:

Proficient in using power tools, performing appliance installations, and basic plumbing/electrical work. Strong working knowledge of dishwasher installations, including plumbing (e.g., installing couplers, shut-off valves). Knowledge of over-the-range microwave installations, including basic electrical work (e.g., installation of power receptacles). Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written. Able to work independently and follow scheduled timelines. Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Comfortable using mobile devices for communication and tracking job details.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility for evening and weekend shifts as needed. Must have a positive attitude and be a strong team player.
