Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to guests. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure all orders are accurate and complete. Monitor food presentation and quality before serving to guests, adhering to restaurant standards. Assist with food preparation and cooking as needed, contributing to meal assembly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area, including equipment and utensils. Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food handling and preparation. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, including roles such as server, barista, or kitchen staff. Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques. Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Experience in cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment is beneficial. A positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional guest services.
