Tasks

Consult with other health care professionals to evaluate treatment plans Interview patients Record observations Review reports from health care professionals to determine patients' current and potential functioning levels Write progress reports Perform administrative tasks Prepare a treatment plan for each patient Provide education to clients regarding health promotion and injury prevention, management and treatment Analyze the patient during the treatments Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs Design specialized therapy programs to maintain, rehabilitate or enhance movement, musculoskeletal functioning and performance in sports, work and recreation Train staff Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques Design and develop programs Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events Analyze and interpret data Prepare reports Co-ordinate workshops Leading/instructing individuals Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required Provide expert advice and consulting services in the design, development and administration of sports, fitness and recreation programs and activities Co-ordinate special events Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs
