Executive Recruitment Coordinator

Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Recruitment Consultant, the Coordinator has an evolving role responsible for directly guiding, supporting, and facilitating the work of the executive recruitment function at Dalhousie. This includes managing, and advising on, the process of senior executive searches.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for senior leadership positions by serving as a central coordination hub for the Executive Recruitment unit.
  • Guide the coordination of community member consultations, search committee meetings, and candidate interviews.
  • Post advertisements, including on external advertising sites and conduct confidential references for selected candidates and other due diligence.
  • Serve as a liaison between executive-level candidates, senior leaders at Dalhousie, search committee members, and the executive recruitment team, facilitating clear and timely communication.
  • Manage, generate, and monitor executive recruitment activities, including candidate pipelines, time-to-fill metrics, employee equity data, and other key performance indicators and provide guidance on process improvements.
  • Manage candidate care and onboarding support and handle the administrative aspects for the unit and perform ad-hoc tasks and duties as needed.
NoteThe successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in human resources plus, a minimum of three years\' of related human resource administration experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Exceptional communication skills, especially with a broad and diverse group of contacts.
  • High level attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills.
  • A strong sense of initiative and organizational skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, as well as online applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team as well as being able to balance and manage multiple priorities in a high volume setting.
Assets
  • Experience in recruitment coordination, preferably with a focus on executive-level positions.
  • Familiarity with executive search processes and best practices.
  • Experience in a recruitment, HR, or postsecondary environment.
