Versatile Media is a global company that has created an end-to-end virtual production workflow. Our North American location is based in Vancouver, Canada where we run performance capture and visualization stages that run on real-time technology. Our passion is Virtual Production, combining real-time rendering technology, traditional film workflows and proprietary research and development, as well as creating original animation and live action IP. The Executive Producer is a central role on the team that is responsible for sourcing new business and supporting the production teams through to project completion. This role is responsible for creating bid packages which requires an intimate and up-to-date knowledge of the entire Virtual Production workflow. Having previous experience producing on live-action projects and knowledge of VFX post production processes are key. The EP has established and reputable relationship with clients and vendors in the Media and Entertainment industry. They\'ll utilize those relationships to facilitate new business opportunities and promote the VM brand within the virtual production sector.

  • Actively working on new business opportunities and responsible for sourcing and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Producing bid breakdowns/packages in parallel across multiple potential projects.
  • Follow up bids systematically and proactively with clients and collaborate with senior colleagues to convert the bids into awards.
  • Liaising with virtual production supervisors and heads of departments to ensure bids are inline with studio capabilities, analyze scripts and quantify best approaches for each project.
  • Facilitate the setup of awarded shows as required. Mentor other Producers on the show and oversee project budgets, milestones and resources and client expectations.
  • Communicate with clients and production supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Work with the business development and marketing team to strategies new opportunities for the studio.
  • Responsible for keeping up to date with latest technical developments within the organization.
  • Understand the industry cost structures in BC, Canada; along with applicable production government incentives.
  • Stay current with studio capacity and talent capabilities.
What we are looking for\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Demonstrated experience in a producing role in the Animation or VFX industry or line producing within live-action/on set film & TV projects.
  • Ability to manage client relationships while supporting supervisors and crew.
  • A strong interest in Virtual Production technology with a thorough understanding of live-action workflows.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team in a deadline driven environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills including clear, concise reporting.
