Human Resources Coordinator
to join our team! In this role, you'll wear many hats--from leading full-cycle recruitment and welcoming new hires, to supporting staff through their employment journey and ensuring we're a safe, supportive, and compliant workplace.
You'll be the go-to person for everything HR: managing our HRIS system, coordinating onboarding, navigating collective agreements, and collaborating with managers, directors, and finance. You'll also play a key role in health and safety initiatives, WorkSafe BC claims, and employee wellness programs.

Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including developing accurate job descriptions and screening tools, advertising vacancies, conducting telephone and in-person interviews, completing reference checks, and administering exit surveys.
Manage the internal selection process, ensuring compliance with the applicable Collective Agreement.
Coordinate onboarding schedules and materials for all new staff.
Employee Lifecycle & HR Administration
Maintain and update the internal HRIS system, including new hires, status changes, and all employee lifecycle updates.
Oversee WorkSafe BC claims, EDMP referrals, and return-to-work communications with managers.
Serve as an active member of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
Collaborate closely with the Finance Department and Service Area Directors on HR-related matters.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the CEO.
Meeting Coordination
Schedule and organize leadership, board, and committee meetings.
Prepare and distribute agendas and meeting materials in advance.
Record, transcribe, and maintain accurate meeting minutes.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date records of board and leadership action plans, decisions, and documentation.
Manage documents in alignment with the Carver Model of Governance and organizational by-laws.
Safeguard sensitive materials and ensure secure access to confidential documents.
Other Requirements
Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers' License and possess a vehicle insured for work purposes. Local travel is approximately 10% of the role.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset.

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
