Executive Director
to lead the organization into its next chapter of growth and success.
Position Overview
The Executive Director provides overall leadership and management for West Wind Gymnastics. Working closely with the Board of Directors, coaches, staff, and families, this role ensures programs run smoothly, the community thrives, and the club continues to grow in a sustainable and inspiring way.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
Oversee the planning and delivery of all recreational and competitive programs.
Support coaches and staff to create a positive, athlete-centered environment.
Manage the annual budget and financial operations responsibly.
Lead grant writing, sponsorships, and fundraising initiatives.
Recruit, train, and support staff and volunteers.
Act as the public face of the club, building relationships with members, sponsors, and community partners.
Oversee marketing, social media, and outreach initiatives.
Qualifications and Attributes
Experience leading people or projects in sport, recreation, business, or the non-profit sector.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable with financial planning and basic accounting.
Tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, QuickBooks or Sage, and online registration systems.
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field is an asset.
Willingness to complete Gymnastics Foundations certification.
Safe Sport, Respect in Sport, and Making Ethical Decisions certifications can be completed as part of onboarding.
CPR or First Aid certification and a clear background and vulnerable sector check.
