At Talsom, the Executive Director/Client Partner is a leader who plays a highly influential role, leveraging his or her recognized industry knowledge and extensive experience. This role ensures the realization of Talsom\'s business plan, by being accountable for the success of partnerships, managing complex mandates (sometimes simultaneously with multiple clients), providing strategic thinking that impacts the positioning of Talsom\'s service offerings and development, and acting as an ambassador for Talsom.

As a senior member of our team of Technology Strategy Consultants, you will play a key role in our customers\' technology projects. You will contribute to the business success of our various clients and to the success of Talsom by providing leadership during the realization of each of the mandates entrusted to you. You will also contribute to Talsom\'s growth in the West Island and other Canadian provinces.

Objectives and responsibilities

  • Have a strategic vision of accounts and mandates and master the information concerning them (resources, time, cost, quality, opportunities, etc.) in addition to contributing tactically to their activities as required;
  • Manage several simultaneous projects (for a single customer or multiple customers) or a major transformation (for a single customer);
  • Ensure that Talsom\'s technology strategy methodologies are respected, and that tasks associated with each stage of a mandate are completed;
  • Be an ambassador for the service offering and ensure support and collaboration with other Talsom practices and ecosystems;
  • Manage relationships with existing customers, negotiate terms and conditions, ensure that teams are in place to complete the mandate, and that project resources are available for the duration of the mandates and capable of performing the tasks assigned.
  • Be accountable for the success of assigned client mandates:
  • Maintain regular contact with his/her team, support and coach more junior collaborators on his/her project;
  • Share and pass on expertise to customers and team members;
  • Intervene directly to resolve major issues and support team members in resolving difficult problems.Participate in meetings and collaborate with the project champion, project leader and managers directly involved;
  • Define project budgets. Update ERP weekly to reflect hours sold or projected on accounts.
  • Market watch:
  • Continuously analyze the environment (customers, competition, new trends, etc.) and ensure that the company remains relevant in the marketplace;
  • Seek out new business opportunities aligned with the company\'s growth vision;
  • Collaborate with members of its community of practice to provide information on marketable skills and knowledge;
  • Promote the Talsom brand to customers;
  • Actively participate in professional, association and industry events related to the Talsom service offering.
The profile we\'re looking for:

Education & experience
  • 1st or 2nd cycle university degree in a field relevant to project management;
  • More than 15 years\' experience in your specialty;
  • Significant relevant consulting experience and recognized achievements in his/her field of expertise;
  • Concrete experience in customer relationship management;
  • Experience of technological implementation.
Skills, knowledge and abilities
  • Bilingualism essential, a majority of accounts will be English-speaking;
  • Sharp, strategic and delivery-oriented mind;
  • Ability to work very effectively in a technology-driven environment and projects;
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to encourage and demonstrate open-mindedness, creativity and innovation;
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams on assignments;
  • Demonstrated ability to be a champion in coaching and challenging leaders on transformational issues;
  • Demonstrated political skills in persuading, convincing and putting forward ideas;
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to influence others and move them towards a common vision and goal;
  • Knowledge of the different phases of project implementation;
  • Ability to understand business requirements;
  • Versatile, skilful, autonomous and professional;
  • Focus on customer satisfaction.
Notes:

This position requires frequent travel in the Greater Montreal area. Out of town travel may also be required.
