Job Description


Reporting to the Camp General Supervisor, you will be part of the Camp Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle\xe2\x80\x99s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate the activities of the Sous-Chefs and workers at 2 sites;

\xc2\xb7 Responsible for Health and Safety in the workplace (work cards audits, inspections, procedures etc.);

\xc2\xb7 Plan and organize the yearly barge orders;

\xc2\xb7 Control costs according to the yearly budget (food, workforce, equipment);

\xc2\xb7 Coach and develop leadership abilities of the kitchen supervisors and employees;

\xc2\xb7 Focus on quality of the food and service and continuously look for improvement opportunities;

\xc2\xb7 Verify that all procedures are correctly applied;

\xc2\xb7 Any other duties required by the Management Team.

Qualifications

\xc2\xb7 Have Professional Culinary Diploma (CP, CEP, TGSA) or the equivalent;

\xc2\xb7 Have ten (10) years or more of experience in an institutional or industrial environment, preferably in a Canadian environment with more than 1000 meals a day;

\xc2\xb7 Have at least five (5) years in a leadership position;

\xc2\xb7 Red Seal Certification is preferred;

\xc2\xb7 Be able to maintain effectiveness when experiencing changes, new information, changing situations and easily considering new approaches (Adaptability);

\xc2\xb7 Be able to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas needed (Coaching);

\xc2\xb7 Be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with others (Interpersonal Effectiveness);

\xc2\xb7 Be able to establish a systematic course of action to ensure accomplishment of specific objectives (Planning and Organizing);

\xc2\xb7 Be able to take responsibility for employees\xe2\x80\x99 performance, by setting clear goals and expectations, ensuring feedback (Performance Management);

\xc2\xb7 Have or be able to obtain a Certification Level 2 Supervisor as per the Mine Act;

\xc2\xb7 Have or be able to obtain a valid First Aid Certificate;

\xc2\xb7 Experience working in a multicultural environment;

\xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team;

\xc2\xb7 Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:

\xc2\xb7 Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;

\xc2\xb7 Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
