ABOUT THE ROLE



We are looking to hire a highly skilled

Executive Assistant

to support the

Senior Vice President Growth, VP Growth, and the VP Trading

- leaders who are driving innovation and strategic expansion.

In this role, you'll be more than an administrator - you'll be the trusted advisor and partner of the Growth team. Your ability to anticipate needs, streamline priorities and create order in a fast-paced environment will directly influence the success of our the team.

This role is based at our

Head Office in Downtown Calgary

, in support of the leaders. The ability to establish strong and effective communication in both virtual and in person environments is key to the success of this role. Low cost parking is available and you'll work in newly renovated offices in the heart of Downtown Calgary.

A DAY IN THE LIFE



Participate in team meetings as a member of TransAlta's Growth business unit Manage calendars, proteose meetings and ensure SVP's key commitments, calendars, files, and inbox are on track Develop and maintain working relationships with Executive Assistants and Administrative Assistants across the organization Prepare internal correspondence, memos, reports and presentations including Board materials and Business Review materials, and edit/format executive communications and deliverables Assist with budget preparation, tracking and updating Assist in meeting preparation, preparing agendas, transcribing, and distributing minutes Prepare monthly expense reports for the SVP and VP's with precision and discretion Plan and executive the business units' events, including event budget management Exude cultural leadership and support the SVP and culture champion in executing and tracking culture goals, contributing to strengthening the culture of the team Research and compile data, meet or liaise with individuals and groups inside or outside the company on behalf of the executive, and provide assistance in establishing and coordinating company administrative policies

ABOUT YOU



Minimum 5 years of administrative assistant experience in an executive support role Business Office Administration Certificate, Diploma, or similar Well-developed organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple demands and work within tight deadlines Self-motivated with the ability to work with others effectively in a team Exceptional organisation and communication skills Ability to thrive independently while collaborating in a proactive, high-energy environment Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from employees to executives Tech-savvy and adaptable with sold skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, SAP and calendar management Strong ability to assess organisational needs, understand the history of the organization and adapt to and manage change
