We\'re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewThe Executive Assistant is the secretarial extension of the President and must be capable of performing under intense pressure and heavy workloads, must be bilingual (French and English), and must understand the dynamics of the Hospital and the complexity of the President\'s role, while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of the St. Boniface Hospital.The Executive Assistant provides administrative and secretarial support to the President, and works with considerable initiative and independence in carrying out a variety of complex responsibilities involving work which has a high degree of confidentiality. The Executive Assistant also supervises and coordinates the activities of the Corporate Office administrative and secretarial support staff and ensures the smooth running of designated Board and administrative committees.Experience

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of Administrative Assistant experience at a level equivalent to that of a senior admin support to an Executive in a large organization.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12.
  • Successful completion of a recognized administrative secretarial or administrative assistant program.
Certification/Licensure/RegistrationNot ApplicableQualifications and Skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand French and English.
  • Keyboard speed; 75 wpm.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in current and related software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP).
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretion with information handled.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of contact, within and outside of the organization.
  • Mature, professional manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate considerable level of initiative.
  • Ability to readily adapt to fast-paced situations and to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Good organizational ability.
  • Ability to effectively promote the Mission of the St. Boniface Hospital.
