As stewards of the province\'s financial affairs, we deliver a wide range of corporate fiscal and management services - including the preparation of the provincial budget - as well as ensure government plans are coordinated and fiscally responsible.About Our OpportunityAs the Executive Administrative Assistant, you will provide senior level administrative support to the Executive Director, as well as the Directors of Financial Advisory Services serving the Department of Public Works. Working under minimal supervision, you will provide a range of complex administrative support duties of a responsible and confidential nature. You will also contribute to the efficiency of the team by organizing, coordinating and managing daily office functions.If you are a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and a professional work ethic, this is your next career opportunity.Primary AccountabilitiesA few of your key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and managing schedules and calendars;
  • Preparing agendas, and taking accurate minutes/notes;
  • Arranging and coordinating meetings and events;
  • Composing and reviewing confidential correspondence & briefing material;
  • Maintaining an electronic mail tracking system;
  • Coordinating office equipment and technology requirements;
  • Reviewing and distributing divisional mail and mailroom operations support;
  • Filing, copying, scanning and retrieving files;
  • Maintaining accurate data and statistics along with preparing reports; and
  • Assisting with employee recruitment competitions.
Qualifications and ExperienceYou have a one (1) year business course and a minimum of four (4) years of secretarial/administrative support experience.You are a collaborative team player and have proficient skills in the use of a variety of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or equivalent. You must be proficient in the use of office equipment and technology. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work is essential. You must use a great deal of judgement when handling inquiries because of confidential matters. Ideally, you are able to multi-task and are a self-starter who is highly motivated and results driven, with integrity and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are essential to your success in this role. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the government structure, policies, procedures and activities, as well as considerable initiative, judgement, and discretion in order to resolve non-routine issues and inquiries.As this position requires a high degree of independent action, you must be well organized to establish your own work schedule and to ensure that office and administrative deadlines are met. You will have frequent contact with senior staff in various Government Departments as well as other Agencies and Crown Corporations. You may occasionally be required to move/lift light objects such as office supplies, equipment, and files.Additional InformationThis is a Term employment opportunity with an anticipated end date of January 30, 2026.
