Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for various tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, to complete construction tasks. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in site preparation, excavation, grading, and material handling as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly stored after use. Use laser levels with boom mounted grade control Experience with finish grade work

Qualifications

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators and related machinery. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is preferred. Experience in construction environments with a strong understanding of safety standards. Ability to operate additional machinery such as loaders, backhoes, dozers, graders, and paving equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 90 - 110 per week
