Job Overview

We are seeking a Skilled and Experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery and a strong understanding of excavation processes such as deep excavations. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating excavators within tunnelling shafts. The operator should be familiar with excavating both soil and rock into muck skips which are hoisted to the surface. On site training will be provided to the right candidate.

Duties

Safely and Efficiently Operate excavators from 2.5t to 7.5t within tunnelling shafts and up to 30t on surface. Collaborate with team members to build and prepare sites for construction projects. Conduct daily maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery. Follow all Tydon safety guidelines and regulations while operating heavy equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

Requirements

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators. Familiarity with deep excavations and in shaft operations. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Valid driver's license; commercial driving license is a plus. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks as required by the job. Ability to climb ladders in and out of shafts..work on the ground as needed. Successful Candidate must have own transport to project site.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
