Job Description
Backwoods is hiring for Equipment Operators to provide construction services in and around Whitecourt-Edson, Alberta area.
Start Date: July 2023
What we offer:
- Overtime
- Operate the heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner (Excavator, Dozer, Grader, Rock Truck, Packer, Tractor & Disc)
- Perform daily maintenance and safety check on equipment
- Work with ground personnel in the excavation and installation process of laying pipe on line and grade
- Ensure trench is excavated to proper depth / grade
- Responsible for placement of culvert, pipe, and tools in the excavation
- Report to the Foreman
- Perform other duties, as and when assigned
- 5 years experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment D&A testing
- Class 5 drivers license
- Ability to provide Vehicle insurance and Vehicle registration to gain access for work trucks
- Ability to provide a 3 years Drivers Abstract
- Ability work in safety sensitive environment and in all weather conditions
- The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Valid H2S Alive, First Aid (Level C), CSTS 2020, Ground Disturbance and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.
