Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for various tasks related to construction and excavation projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and paving. Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to determine project requirements and timelines. Execute horizontal drilling operations as needed for utility installations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage. Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubricating components. Assist with loading and unloading materials as required. Experience using GPS is a bonus

Skills

Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including excavators, backhoes, graders, bulldozers, and other machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to dig trenches and holes accurately while adhering to project specifications. Experience with commercial driving is preferred for transporting equipment when necessary. Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
