Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team and fill the position of Forestry Thinning Operator in the St Stephen/St George area. This is a 46 to 52 week a year position.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including full size or mini excavator.

Responsibilities:

- Operate 6 ton excavator to perform various tasks such as forestry thinning using mulching head or shear.

- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols on the job site.

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

- Proven experience in excavator operation and heavy equipment operation.

- Must have a valid drivers license.

- Able to work independently.

- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.

Have a dependable vehicle to get to work.

There is a daily travel allowance associated with this position.

Signing bonus - after successfully completing the 3 month probationary period there is pay out of $500.00 signing bonus.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
