Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy machinery, particularly excavators, and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe operations on the job site. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals.

Responsibilities

Operate excavators and other heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and skid steers. Execute excavation tasks with precision, adhering to project specifications and safety regulations. Perform digging, grading, excavating, backfilling. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate work schedules and equipment usage. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Assist in horizontal drilling and paving operations as needed. Safely operate water trucks and tankers for various construction applications.

Experience

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices. Previous construction site experience is essential, with a strong understanding of site safety protocols. Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred. Experience operating additional equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
