Position Summary

Working in our Manufacturing department, the EWP Forklift / General Labourer cuts engineered wood beams and joists using a circular saw or chainsaw, preparing packs from material cut lists and moving with a Forklift. The shifts are Monday - Friday and the wage range is $23- $27 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures Cut engineered wood beams and joists (LVL, LSL, TGI, PSL, Rimboard) using a circular saw, chainsaw, or pack saw Prepare floor packs from material cut lists provided for order shipment to commercial and residential construction sites Band packs and tag individual pieces according to cut list labels provided and stage in slot for shipping Audit completed orders from material cut list for accuracy prior to delivery or pick up Receive and put stock away as needed Perform quarterly inventory counts Maintain the general appearance and housekeeping of work areas daily Other duties as assigned by management and/or supervisor Daily inspections of all equipment - forklift, chainsaw, skilsaw, pack saw Cleanup and re-tarp all product at the end of the day Help customers as needed

Skills and Qualifications

Must be able to work outdoors in all types of local seasonal weather elements - This is an outdoor position Valid forklift certification and experience is a necessity Must be able to or willing to learn to move up to 60' packs Effective written and oral communication skills Basic math skills & experience with tape measure Experience using a chainsaw and skilsaw is an asset Experienced with basic hand tools

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
