We are currently searching for a candidate who can drive strategy and execution of the OBU projects and accountabilities for the OBU Medical organization, specifically within one of the Center of Excellence for Evidence Generation, Publication & Partnerships. This role will include project oversight, budget management, organisational change, and cross-functional coordination with multiple teams in and outside of OBU Medical. This position will report directly into the Strategy, Operations & Innovation organization in OBU Medical, but would work closely with the Oncology Medical Evidence Head, Delivery and Operations. The position will be based in Mississauga (CA).

Accountabilities/responsibilities

Partner with the Medical Evidence Head, Delivery and Operations and the leadership team to progress from conceptualisation to implementation on overarching team strategy and vision

Responsible for strategic planning and prioritization of key team results such as development of roadmaps, walking decks, leadership presentations, etc.

Facilitates overall budget and strategic workforce planning across team including forecasting, phasing and prioritization across the business planning cycle (RBU, MTP) as well as rollup into Long Range Plans (LRPs)

Maintain awareness of projects/activities across teams in order to ensure alignment and find opportunities for collaboration, efficiencies and identify/drive areas for process improvement

Responsible for overall budget and contract management

Maintains project/deliverables dashboard for portfolio progress against scorecard objectives

Lead specific, strategic projects per the direction of Evidence Delivery Team Leadership (EDLT)

Provide impactful communications on behalf of the leadership team to senior leadership & members of the strategy team

Accountable for implementation of medical standards.

Leads effective agenda driven meetings with the EDLT, provides strategic input into meeting agendas, identify and track decisions, actions and risks for the team to monitor progression of activities

Leads the preparation for departmental meetings including shaping the agenda, rehearsals, slides management and meeting facilitation

Responsible for developing and maintaining departmental slides, portfolio strategy decks for various required business meetings

Supports the Leadership Team with daily operations of Evidence Delivery Team

Defines with EDLT required offsite meetings and ensures flawless implementation

Continuous improvement on ways of working to share best practices to streamline and simplify the business processes

Required experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry

Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Affairs, Commercial and R&D (Global, regional, or local)

Comprehensive understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products

Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands

Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment

Experience working in a global setting, managing partners within different time zones

Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership

Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives

Preferred Requirements:

Graduate level degree in sciences or business degree

Six Sigma Medical/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification.

Depth of understanding of medical, scientific and/or commercial pharmaceutical marketplace of Oncology.

Demonstrated knowledge and very wide understanding of global business context

Strong leadership attributes to clarify strategic direction, generate commitment, balance short and long-term needs, resolve differences constructively, and reinforce expectations

People management of indication level project managers to drive harmonies and efficiencies across the portfolio
