Job Description

The Horowitz Events Centre is looking for friendly and reliable customer service oriented individuals to join our Events Staff team!
We regularly run a wide variety of events within our venues in the Students' Union Building, as well as across the University of Alberta's North Campus. The Events Staff I position is under the general supervision of the Manager - Operations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide an exceptional level of customer service to our clients and patrons
Work towards the successful execution of a wide variety of events

Complete event setups and teardown as required

Work catered events, including serving, bussing, and maintaining food service protocols

Maintain the safety and cleanliness of event sites

Perform other job-related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in customer service, with an emphasis on communication skills and working as part of a team

Available to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends

Excellent work habits, including strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills

ProServe - can be provided free of charge

Ability to lift 10kg (22lbs) on occasion

This is a casual part-time position, as the frequency and length of shifts varies depending on our bookings. Event Staff are able to select shifts according to their own availability.
