As the Events Specialist for the Brand & Communications team you will be responsible for supporting our mission to tell the stories that make it clear that we are the global powerhouse in ancillary revenue through conferences and events.


An exceptionally organized human, you take pleasure in wrangling a group of people and hosting fantastic events that find the right balance between useful content and fulfilling social engagement. You have a passion for project management, and will coordinate our attendance at conferences across the globe, enabling us to connect with our existing partners and prospective partners.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Reporting to the Brand and Content Manager, you will:


  • Execute our global conference sponsorship plans, including liaising with conference vendors, ensuring contracts are signed and invoices are paid, facilitating attendance and events for internal teams, and producing conference wrap-up reports. Our conferences and events span the globe, including events in APAC, Latin America, Europe and North America.
  • Lead the charge for our company-hosted partner events, sourcing venues and vendors, managing attendance lists/invites for internal and external guests, ensuring the events are executed beautifully, and tracking feedback on events to implement improvements for the future.
  • Work closely with the Creative team to brief in content for conferences and events, giving guidance on content direction for emails, booths, handouts, whitepapers, ads, conference swag, and more!
  • Research and recommend new conference and event opportunities, bringing forward ideas to drive our business forward and gain further exposure in the industry and business community.
  • Be responsible for our team budget, requesting POs, submitting invoices, tracking our spending, and working with the Director of Brand & Communications to ensure we are on track.



YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:
  • About 2 years of experience in event planning, project coordination, communications/PR, marketing, or similar.
  • Experience managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Extremely organized, methodical and detail-oriented, and adaptable to change.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable communicating with people across all levels of our business.
  • You demonstrate initiative and quick thinking to provide timely solutions.
  • Experience in loyalty, travel, or tech is a bonus!
