The Association administers the Multiple Listing Service, provides professional education to its members and enforces a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Practice. We also advertise property listings and publish consumer information online at realtorsofedmonton.com and REALTOR.ca.

We are looking for an outgoing, self-motivated professional to join our Communications team!



The Events and Marketing Coordinator supports the planning, organization, and execution of Association events, with a focus on marketing and communications. This role assists with event logistics, creates marketing materials and event web pages, manages event registration on the Association's CRM, and supports email campaigns and basic graphic design for event branding.

The critical core competencies in this role are project and budget management, collaborating, creativity, exceptional communication and listening skills, high attention to detail, negotiation skills, and professional demeanor. This role requires the ability to work independently and as a part of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a creative, organized, and highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.

Key internal relationships are the other RAE departments, Managers, Executives. External relationships are the Board of Directors and RAE Members vendors and RAE service partners.

Key Qualifications for this Role



Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Events or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in event coordination and/or marketing Strong organizational and communication skills Experience with CRM systems and/or event registration platforms Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously. Basic graphic design skills (ex. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite is required. Knowledge of the real estate industry and its dynamics is a plus. Previous experience working in a Non-Profit or Association setting is considered an asset. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed for events.

Job Duties and Responsibilities



Event Planning and Coordination:

Collaborate with the Events Manager to conceptualize, plan, and execute a diverse range of events, including celebratory, governance, educational, social and networking events. Coordinate logistics, including vendor communications and onsite support. Collaborate on creative and relevant event themes. Assist with arranging decor, entertainment and other event vendors. Create detailed event plans, timelines, seating charts, and budgets to ensure the successful execution of each event. Oversee logistics, including setup, audiovisual equipment, catering, and decor.
Marketing and Communications:

Create event registration pages on Microsoft Dynamics (CRM), ensuring key event details are communicated clearly and registration process is accurate for each event. Create emails for event communications, including event registration launches, save the dates, event promotions, reminders and post-event feedback. Design basic graphics for event branding and collateral. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Specialist to design presentations and marketing documents for each event and activity.
Member Engagement:

Assist in the creation of promotional materials and campaigns to attract attendees. Respond to member inquiries regarding events and registration. Monitor and maintain event registration in the CRM. Support post-event evaluations and feedback collection.
Administrative Support:

Update the member portal with event information. Assist in monitoring event budgets and tracking expenses and revenue. Attend All Staff as well as Department specific meetings and trainings.

Working Conditions



This role is primarily in-person, Monday-Friday at our offices. However, the Events and Marketing Coordinator will be required to attend events throughout the year outside of regular working hours and will work with their supervisor to adjust their schedule as needed. The role also involves extended periods of sitting, working on a computer, and conducting research as well as time spent standing and working at events.
