Job Summary

Area 11 is a growing indoor sports and recreation space in the Kitchener-Waterloo area, hosting cricket, baseball, softball, and multi-sport programs. We're looking for an energetic and connected individual to help us grow our events and community outreach.

This is a

freelance, commission-based opportunity

-- ideal for someone who enjoys bringing people together, building local partnerships, and finding creative ways to fill a unique space with fun and engaging activities.

What You'll Do

Build and maintain relationships with local schools, clubs, and community groups to bring events and programs to Area 11. Propose, plan, and help coordinate events such as birthday parties, tournaments, youth camps, and corporate team-building sessions. Collaborate with the Area 11 team on scheduling, marketing ideas, and promotional activities. Communicate with clients to understand their goals and help tailor events to their needs. Identify new partnership or sponsorship opportunities within the KW community. Manage your own leads and bookings -- earn commission for successful events.

What We're Looking For

Strong local network within the

Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge community

(schools, sports clubs, or local businesses). Great communicator with an entrepreneurial mindset. Organized and self-driven -- able to take initiative and work independently. Experience in event planning, community programs, marketing, or youth recreation is a plus. Positive, professional, and collaborative approach.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 2 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kitchener, ON N2G 3R5
