About Easter Seals OntarioEaster Seals is a registered charitable organization that helps children and youth with physical disabilities from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. Since 1922, with the help of our generous donors, Easter Seals has been offering programs and services that enable kids to experience greater independence and focus on what they can do rather than on their limitations. We assist families with the purchase of essential mobility and accessibility equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, porch lifts and ramps, as well as toileting aids and bathing equipment. We are also an industry leader in providing fully accessible summer camp programs at our two camps, Camp Woodeden in London and Camp Merrywood in Perth. Together, we are helping kids BE KIDS! currently have the following opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to join the Easter Seals team in Kingston this summer. If you have the desire to learn fundraising skills and concepts; love the idea of working in a small, dynamic team, we may have the perfect job for youDuties: Supporting all aspects of virtual and in person events (subject to covid-19 guidelines) including but not limited to:

  • Designing event posters and materials for event and community engagement
  • Designing and monitoring social media content
  • Onsite and virtual support for event volunteers, participants, and community supporters
  • Researching and analyzing local businesses to determine potential partnerships and sponsorship opportunities for upcoming events
  • Supporting both participant data and financial tracking
Skills and Requirements:
  • Be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion, as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve positive results
  • Previous experience in Digital Design/ Volunteer Management/ Event Planning and Management/ Communications, Public Relations or a related field of study would be an asset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships with others
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and can prioritize competing work demands
  • Computer experience required, including standard office computer applications and design software
