The Opportunity The Events and Communications Coordinator will assist and report to the Director of Administration and is responsible for the association\xe2\x80\x99s external events and communications in support of all divisions and departments as required. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist with general administrative responsibilities and communication.
  • Responsible for operations and execution of all current special events such as tournaments and AGM\xe2\x80\x99s and any new events to be executed on behalf of the association.
  • Prepare social media strategy, coordination, and execution.
  • Website management and maintenance
  • Digital correspondence to membership
  • Sponsorship activation, tracking and correspondence.
  • Community partnership activation and correspondence
Qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years of administrative experience
  • Experience working with social media / website content management an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional comprehension and command of the English language; (written & verbal)
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.)
  • Proficiency with office related electronics and IT (computers, phones, printers)
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize project support
  • Ability to foster and maintain a positive tone within the team and to work cooperatively through personal behavior, work contribution and sharing of expertise and knowledge
Physical Working Conditions
  • Some repetitive, physical activity involved (Sitting, typing, walking, kneeling, reaching, lifting)
  • Lifting light to medium level weights (up to 20lbs.)
  • General office environment
  • Some travel required to attend or plan offsite events
