Position Overview

The Events Server is responsible for the setup, clean up, and food and beverage services to guests in the events room.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Greet guests and interact with them Promote positive customer experiences by providing prompt and courteous services Possess full knowledge of the Totem Rewards benefits and slot promotions Maintain a professional and positive demeanor Deliver and sell casino promotions, programs, and amenities to casino guests Maintain the cleanliness of the events room at all times Complete before shift / after shift checklist Set up / clean-up of events Serve food and / or beverages Ensure a consistent flow of services to guests Maintain complete knowledge of all food options, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available on the casino floor Collect payments from guests Report any concerns to a manager or supervisor Report intoxicated customers to a manager or supervisor Adhere to all company and department policies and procedures Other duties as reasonable and assigned

Working Conditions

May be required to stand, sit or bend for extended periods of time Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance Must be available to work a rotating shift support the Casino hours of operations (holidays and weekend included) Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience & Qualifications Required

Must be 19 years or over Previous experience in customer service preferred Responsible Beverage and Food Safety training Enjoys working in a team environment Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment The energy and enthusiasm to deal with difficult clients Expert level Fluency in ENGLISH and FRENCH (written and spoken)
