Learn more at:Working as a member of the Banquet team, providing set-up and service of guests\' functions while ensuring four diamond service levels and standards.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set-up, service, and tear-down of a variety of functions for 5 to 500 guests
  • Perform a variety of duties including set-ups, coffee service, bartending and white glove dinner service
  • Train and oversee Banquet Servers on set-up, tear-down, and service duties
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate levels of dry goods and items held for guests\' consumption
  • Attend regularly scheduled Banquet meetings
  • Provide guidance to Banquet Servers through on-going training and coaching
  • Assist with and provide feedback for Banquet Server performance reviews
  • Perform Supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Manager
  • Assist with ensuring staff scheduling meets business demands and budget
  • Be prepared to work in other F&B outlets when required due to business needs and staffing levels
Qualifications
  • Alberta ProServe Certification
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or tourism is an asset
  • 1+ years of experience in banquet service
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Knowledgeable in a variety of liquor and wine
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Available to work a flexible schedule and long hours based on business levels
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Computer-literate
