Job Description

OMAC Martial Arts is looking for an outgoing team player interested in a hybrid role at our newest location in Whitby. Primarily focused on working events such as PA Day camps, seasonal camps (Holiday Season, March Break, Summer) and birthday parties, this role will also cross train in our Administrator and Driver role so additional shifts can be picked up in the event of sick days and vacation requests.

This role would be ideal for a college student who loves working with kids and is looking for seasonal and / or part time work as the hours will flex through the year.

Responsibilities and Duties - Host



Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers/children. High energy and attentive and greet guests with a welcoming smile. Creating a warm environment in which families enjoy celebrating their loved ones' birthdays. Engage with children/youths and monitor children playing indoors and outdoors. Collaborate with other team members to assist in the facilitation of events / parties. Monitor after school room and dojang and ensure no food and drinks are taken in the dojang. Setting up and cleaning up after school / party room. Entertaining kids and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties: Administrator



Develop a rapport with all families and students. Has full knowledge of all membership prices and contracts. Conduct sign-ups for new members and renewing members. Carry out sales and sign-ups of special events, camps and merchandise. Address customers to build relationships with the entire family as well as the student. Address all issues regarding customers and students with ease, including membership issues, complaints, and negotiation of payments (while abiding by the policies of OMAC contractual agreements). Data entry, input, and maintenance of on-line membership tracking software (PerfectMind). Managing telephone and email correspondence regarding membership and class trials, payments, membership renewals, parent inquiries and general inquiries. Coordination of After School Program child pickup scheduling, driver route coordination, and planning. Processing payments and reconciling all expenses associated with, but not limited to; memberships, After School program, camps, birthday parties, and office supplies.

Qualifications and Skills



Requirements for eligibility of employment with OMAC:

Applicants must possess a full and active G license in Ontario with a clean driving record. Applicants must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to being considered for hiring. Applicants must provide an MTO Driver's Abstract to show proof of a clean driving record. Experience working with children is considered an asset.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
