As Western Canada's leading venue for live events, we host a year-round schedule of sporting events, concerts, consumer shows and more each year while also supporting the community through an array of ongoing partnerships and initiatives.



We're currently looking to add First Aid Ambassadors to the BC Place team. The Event First Aid position renders first aid and subsequent treatment to injured or ill guests, employees and contractors of BC Place.



The hourly rate for this position is $22.34.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:



Provide service excellence to clients, guests and BC Place team members; Be approachable by maintaining uniform standards, positive body language and energy; Be knowledgeable about BC Place, safety policies, guest services and event details; Respond and attend to injuries and accidents on BC Place grounds (inside and outside): Administer first aid; Sterilize, disinfect and bandage minor cuts and burns; Apply artificial respiration or administer oxygen Administer medications, such as pain medicine or antiseptic solution, to relieve pain or prevent infection until patient can receive professional care, and give prescribed medicines and treatments for illness; Operate mobile equipment and other tools in performing assigned tasks; Aid physicians and paramedics during emergency situations; Deal with large crowds during an emergency; Change beds, clean equipment and maintain infirmary; Re-stock supplies as they are depleted; Maintain confidential personal and medical records of injured employees and guests; Investigate and complete incident reports as required; Complete administrative duties as required; Ensure scheduling and availability requirements are met as per policy; Follow BC Place policies and practices; Perform other job-related duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:



Knowledge of cleaning or willingness to learn, experience in a similar role in the event or service industry and or working with the public an asset; Valid Occupational First Aid Certificate Level 3 or equivalent; Valid driver's license; Service attitude, professional, friendly, courteous; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as well the ability to co-operate with others and work to the greater good is essential; Experience in a similar role in the event or service industry and or working with the public an asset; Valid CPR Level C certificate an asset; Knowledge of WHMIS an asset; Physically fit and mentally able to handle assigned tasks and stressful situations including exposure to seasonal heat and cold in an outdoor and indoor environment, extensive walking and periods without sitting; Computer literate with the ability to utilize BC Place employee service portal via internet or on-site kiosks; Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) with additional language(s) an asset. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Mon - Fri event shifts will start at 5:15pm; Must be able to work 80% of our anchor events (approx. 25 events per year).

3. Join our amazing team! Orientation Training is Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, 2026.
