CAWST is seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to volunteer their time and expertise in helping us reach more Calgarians than ever before. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our Canadian supporters and volunteers for us to continue serving people around the world with better water, sanitation, and hygiene.

In 2023, we have several events scheduled that we need urgent help to coordinate. The Event Coordinator will play a crucial role in planning and coordinating networking and fundraising events that will take place in Q3 and Q4 2023.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning: Collaborate with the Donor Initiatives team to develop event concepts, objectives, and strategies to ensure successful donor and board member engagement.
  • Logistics: Take the lead in planning and coordinating events including the AGM, including venue selection, logistics, agenda creation, and guest management.
  • Sensitivity and Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information related to stakeholders and organizational strategies with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Budgeting and Tracking: Ensure that events are staying within the prescribed budget. Ensure that events stay on track according to the established schedules and timelines. Monitor progress, identify potential delays and issues, and proactively implement necessary adjustments to keep events running smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Event planning Experience: Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating events, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure flawless execution of events and a high level of participation satisfaction.
  • Trustworthiness: Demonstrated integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and discretion.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
  • Passion for the Cause: Strong alignment with the mission and values of CAWST and a genuine interest in global access to clean water and sanitation.
  • Prior experience in running or assisting in AGM\xe2\x80\x99s is highly preferred.
  • Previous Volunteer Experience is an asset; experience with CAWST is highly preferred.
