Job Description

The Corporate Real Estate Team is committed to helping TELUS become a world-class leader in supporting internal and external hosted events by delivering exceptional event spaces within our main administrative downtown Vancouver office and a few smaller BC buildings event space.

As an Event Coordinator, your customer-oriented mindset, collaborative style, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be vital to success in this key role. Your initiative and creative problem-solving will serve you well as you navigate TELUS' fast-paced event requests.

This critical role reports to a remote-based Events Manager and is focused on thoughtfully and proactively managing numerous events and audit activities with a high level of professionalism, collaboration, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.

You will be the go-to expert for all event-related questions and onsite support. We are looking for someone who is passionate about organization and process improvement, talented at facilitating virtual correspondence, and able to work independently.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being a resident, onsite, full-time member of the team (37.5 hours per week) and who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while supporting TELUS team members, leaders, and external partners.

What You'll Do



Monitor and promptly respond to building-specific events inboxes and provide prompt responses to event-related questions. Provide support and assistance for all building-planned events in BC, including scheduled walk-throughs with team members and external clients. Develop and maintain positive vendor & key TELUS event prime relationships. Conduct weekly event space inventory audits. Coordinate and submit event space work orders for repairs and maintenance. Provide after-hours event support for scheduled events as required. Provide administrative support for the TELUS onsite Real Estate Operations team as required. Perform Executive Reception desk duties as required (vacation/sick coverage). Action and maintain event spend tracking for your region. Handle other tasks/project support as required.

What You Bring



Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar or equivalent role. Post-secondary degree or diploma. Advanced knowledge of multiple calendar management, highly organized skills, and comfort dealing with multiple time zones. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Google Workspace, with the ability to create and edit documents and presentations according to branding and template standards. Ability to work a flexible work schedule based on secured event times as required as requested by the national events manager.

Great-to-Haves



Senior leader support experience. Strong business acumen. Event management/coordination experience. Experience in a large corporate setting.
Advanced knowledge of English is required as you will frequently interact in English with internal and external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, partners, and colleagues).

Hourly Rate: $26.00

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
