Story Behind the Need:

  • Business group: Global Event Marketing supports the execution of events and conferences for Client business lines.
  • This role is responsible for supporting the execution of events and conferences for Client business lines. These are highly visible events that involve clients, business partners and sometimes, executives.

Typical Day in Role:
  • Collaborate with the project teams to ensure the delivery of event logistics
  • Interact across project teams, with business lines, and vendor contacts
  • Create and manage event workback schedules
  • Support on the development of presentation materials
  • Consistently provide complete and timely communication of meeting information to and from clients, project team, and meeting participants
  • Help to collect post-project expense reporting and reconciliation
  • Intermittently coordinating the purchase and shipment of event supplies and promotional items.
  • Ordering and organizing event collateral, including name badges, table cards, event briefs, etc.
  • Occasionally assisting with event set up, onsite execution, and tear down.

  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
  • 1-2 years of experience in supporting events and building registration activities for large organizations
Nice-To-Have Skills:
  • Communicating in French and/or Spanish is an asset.
  • Experience using event registration platforms, an asset.
Soft Skills Required:
  • Effective communication, teamwork and relationship building abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Education:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
Best vs. Average Candidate:
  • The best candidate is someone who has a positive attitude and demonstrates a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to relevant processes and procedures. Timely in completing administrative functions and can manage multiple tasks at once.

  • 2 Rounds:
o 1st round - Hiring managers - 45 mins - MS Teams Video - The first 10 mins is for Introduction, role overview, and what they are looking for. The rest of the interview they will review candidate's experience and knowledge-based questions.
o 2nd round - Hiring Managers, Director and one or two senior managers- 45 mins - MS Teams Video - Ensure the right candidate is selected and fits the team culture.
