Sudbury Wolves Sports and Entertainment (SWSE) is seeking a talented and versatile Event Coordinator to join our growing marketing team.
This role supports both SWSE and the Basketball Super League (BSL) of Canada, working under the SWSE umbrella to deliver impactful design, engaging communications, and dynamic web content.
The ideal candidate is a creative and technically skilled communicator with a strong design background, experience managing digital content and websites, and a passion for sports and storytelling.

Responsibilities:
BSL Event Coordination & Stream Scheduling
Coordinate with the BSL team on event planning, scheduling, and execution for games and league events.
Manage communications related to BSL game schedules, venue logistics, and promotional activities.
Oversee live stream scheduling and monitoring, ensuring broadcasts run smoothly and align with marketing timelines.
Liaise with broadcast partners, production crews, and league staff to maintain quality control and timely delivery.
Support on-site event coverage and provide creative and communications support during BSL games and special events.
Design & Creative Development
Design digital and print assets including social media graphics, advertisements, posters, web banners, and event materials.
Ensure consistent and professional visual branding across all SWSE and BSL platforms.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative campaigns that enhance fan engagement and ticket sales.
Use Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) to produce high-quality creative content.
Web Design & Digital Content
Manage and update content on SWSE and BSL websites, ensuring a professional and user-friendly experience.
Create and maintain web graphics, landing pages, and digital assets that align with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with marketing and IT teams to optimize web layouts, load times, and mobile responsiveness.
Communications & Marketing Support
Write and edit press releases, newsletters, social media copy, and promotional materials.
Support communications planning, media outreach, and digital storytelling initiatives.
Contribute to content scheduling and analytics reporting.
Assist with in-game and event-day communications as needed.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in a communications, design, or web-focused role -- ideally in sports, entertainment, or media.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
Experience with web design and content management systems (WordPress, Squarespace, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic web troubleshooting is an asset.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for sports, digital media, and creative design.
