An Evening Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel\'s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, team members, and hotel premises.
• Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property. Observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks, and undesirable conditions
• Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, and medical emergencies.
• Responds to all reported disturbance calls throughout the hotel and provides notice of warning to those involved as required.
• Responds to any noise complaint & possible trespassing on the property.
• Secure areas of the hotel and complete a security checklist nightly.
• Ensure that any violations of law or hotel policy are reported.
• Responds to guest requests for extra or additional amenities or items.
• Maintains log on all security functions performed during shift and completes incident reports as required.

What are we looking for:

• 12 months of related experience preferred
• Knowledge of criminal code and municipal by-law.
• Able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and observational skills
• Professional self-presentation, highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• SK Security Guard Licence is an asset.
• Ability to work flexible evening hours is highly preferred
